Summer is almost here, and families are looking for new and different ways to keep their kids entertained. That's why Wide Open School is offering a virtual summer camp with online and offline activities in both English and Spanish that will keep kids of all ages active and curious until next school year.

What is Wide Open School?

Wide Open School is a new destination for families and educators that debuted in March 2020 in response to the pandemic and nationwide shift to distance learning. The mission of Wide Open School is to collect, curate, and disseminate the best online and offline learning activities from leaders in education, as recommended by Common Sense's expert editors , who rate and review media and technology based on age-appropriateness, quality, and learning potential.

What will parents find this summer?

These are just some of the activities families will find on Wide Open School to keep kids active and learning all summer long:
• Virtual field trips to remarkable places like the Canadian tundra with Discovery Education.
• Custom workouts from basketball players like the Detroit Pistons' Langston Galloway with the Jr. NBA.
• Civic engagement activities, like building a presidential campaign to "Win the White House" with iCivics.
