For 2018-19, Extended Learning Time (ELT) Continues to Bring Opportunities to
Beekmantown Central School District (BCSD)

In the spring of 2015, BCSD was awarded the ELT grant which is funded by the New York State Education Department. That grant funding continued through the past two school years, and extends into this 2018-19 school year, as well.

Elementary grades program components: We are excited to bring new learning opportunities to our elementary students through BAZ (Beekmantown Adventure Zone). Our BAZ offerings provide students with a safe, exciting, and creative approach to adding enrichment and fun to their school day. Students will be able to choose their offerings each session. Offerings will be changing throughout the school year. We will be using this site to keep you informed of the BAZ programs. Be sure to check out our ELT News Bulletins page on this site, from time to time, to obtain the most recent news regarding ELT at BCSD.

Middle and high school grades program components: We are also excited to bring expanded, improved and innovative instructional programs and opportunities to students enrolled in our middle school or high school. An array of special events, field trips  and bolstered day-to-day instructional opportunities intended to strengthen student achievement and success are in place. Those instructional program elements are funded substantially by ELT grant monies. Those grant monies have helped enable Beekmantown Central School District to provide a bolstered pre-kindergarten through 12th grade instructional pathway offering a more rigorous, well-rounded set of learning experiences for the students we serve. Be sure to check out our ELT News Bulletins page on this site, from time to time, to obtain the most recent news regarding ELT at BCSD.
