Student Registration:

*Please note that the Student Registration form is not available online. All registrations take place in the Central Registrar's Office.

Registration for all new students occurs in the District's Central Registrar's Office. Driving directions are available in the related links section below.  To ensure that someone is available to assist you, please contact the District Registrar's Office either by phone (518-324-2597) or by email ( to confirm availability before visiting.


Registrar's Office Hours 

Walk-in registration hours are generally Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 2:30 pm. ( Please call 518-324-2597 before coming in as days and hours can vary due to other circumstances and staffing requirements.)

The registration process can take anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes, so please schedule your time accordingly. Your child does not need to be present for the registration process.


Proof of Residency

You must have proof of residency in order to enroll your child. If you do not know whether your residence is within the Beekmantown school district boundaries or which elementary school is your home school, you can go to the School Zone Attendance Finder for assistance.

Although the information provided on this page is to be considered reliable and most up to date, there may be circumstances that could alter the school that some children will be assigned to attend. Please contact the Central Registrar's Office at 518.324.2597 for more details.    

Required Documents

  • Birth Certificate or Passport
  • Immunization Records
  • Custody Papers (if applicable)
  • Three (3) current Acceptable Proofs of Residency (See below for list of examples:)


Also, when you come to the school to register please bring any available academic records such as transcripts, recent report cards, and any special education plan. You'll also need to provide the name and mailing address of your child's previous school.

According to district policy and procedure no enrollments are finalized until all required documents are submitted and accepted by the district registrar's office. These documents are: birth certificate or other DOB verification, immunization records, and three current proofs of residency.

Once all documents are received their is a minimum waiting period of one full business day before the student may attend classes.
