Homeschool Information
Beekmantown Central School District recognizes the rights and responsibilities of parents in the education of their children. Homeschooling is a viable education choice, subject to laws and regulations of New York State. We are here to help provide direction and answer your questions as you navigate through the homeschool process.
The following resources and documents are provided to help you with the homeschool process, necessary documentation and timelines, and templates for each step along the way. Please note you are not required to use the templates provided. There is also a FAQ section and links to the NYS homeschool guidance that you will find helpful. Beekmantown residents who wish to homeschool must submit a letter of intent to homeschool, an Individual Home Instruction Plan (IHIP), annual evaluations, and quarterly reports. The District also requests that families fill out a Homeschool Registration Form, available below.
