Jump Camp

I’m excited for the 22nd year of Jump Camp!  Jump Camp provides a structured way for athletes to get in shape and optimize summer training.  As our current community health situation is more manageable, Jump Camp is returning to the pre-covid format, with an 8 a.m. session and a 6 p.m. session on Mondays and Thursdays.  Campers attend the session that best fits their schedule that day (they do not sign up for a particular session).

Over the years, I’ve learned that campers attend Jump Camp for a variety of reasons:

  • For exercise and general fitness

  • To take their fitness to the next level

  • Injury prevention

  • To get away from a television and computer screen

  • To get out of bed and get going

  • To reach a goal

  • To prepare for a level jump (modified to JV, JV to Varsity, High School to College)

  • To get ahead

  • To not get behind

  • To see friends

Whatever the reason, Jump Camp can be an integral part of meeting local athlete’s needs.  We work to develop speed, strength, explosiveness, and mental toughness so athletes can be at their best when playing their favorite sports.  As we say at camp, “Jump Camp is about you.  You get out of it what you put into it.”
