School tax bills become payable on September 1st of each year. Taxpayers must check the box at the bottom of the bill if they would like a receipt. Taxpayers having escrow accounts will not receive the bill as they are mailed to your mortgage company, however, receipts are mailed to the homeowner.  

Full Payment - Pay to the School Tax Collector

Sept. 1 - Sept. 30 No Penalty
Oct. 1 - Oct. 31 2% Penalty

Full Payment - Pay to County Treasurer

Nov. 1 - Nov. 30 2% & 5% Penalty
On December 1st taxes are re-levied with the Town and County Tax and are payable on January 1st to the Town Tax Collector.



Installment Payment  

First Installment is payable to the School Tax Collector. U.S. Post-mark no later than Sept. 30th. Failure to make this payment on time disqualifies the Taxpayer from the Installment Payment System.

The first installment includes a 2% surcharge calculated on the total amount of the tax bill. The surcharge is County Revenue and is to be used to pay all costs for administration of the Installment Payment System.

On Dec. 1st, any balance due will be re-levied with the Town and County Tax and will be payable on Jan. 1st to the Town Tax Collector.
