Middle School welcomes new Associate Principal Jenifer Jensen

We're thrilled to welcome Jenifer Jenson to the team!

Beekmantown Middle School is pleased to announce the appointment of Jenifer Jensen as the new Associate Principal, effective for the upcoming school year.

Ms. Jensen brings two decades of educational experience and a passion for building positive school communities to her new role with the Eagles.

"I am so grateful to be in the presence of a compassionate, engaging and hardworking school community," Jensen said. "I cannot wait to meet everyone in person!"

Ms. Jensen, who prefers to be called Jen, comes to Beekmantown with extensive experience as a middle and high school science educator spanning 20 years. Most recently, she served as Director of Human Skills and Student Engagement for Sweethearts & Heroes during the 2024-25 school year while on leave from her teaching position.

The new associate principal is a strong advocate for positive relationships and fostering supportive school environments through community-building circles. She holds advanced graduate certifications in Mindfulness in Schools, Wellness Counseling, and Social Emotional Learning, demonstrating her commitment to the whole-child approach to education. Ms. Jensen completed her administrative degree at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) and gained hands-on leadership experience through a 500-hour internship under the mentorship of Mr. Matt Berry at Peru High School.

"I believe in the power of positive relationships and fostering a positive school environment through the use of community-building circles," Jensen noted.

She welcomes conversations with community members about implementing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) skills and developing empathy through community circles.

The Beekmantown school community looks forward to welcoming Jensen as she begins her new role supporting students, staff, and families at the middle school level.
