K-6 Summer Opportunity: Camp Invention

Get ready to discover! 

Beekmantown Central School District will host Camp Invention this summer. Students currently enrolled in grades K through 6 are eligible for this five-day day camp. 

This year's program features new adventures: 

  1. Claw Arcade - Use physics and engineering to make a DIY claw machine
  2. Illusion Workshop - Learn about optical illusions and create a spinning animation device  
  3. In Control - Learn about AI use in everyday items like GPS, and  create a  Control Panel to send secret morse code messages
  4. Penguin Launch - Join Snow-ver the robot penguin to investigate habitats and create magnetic penguin launchers

Campers will be introduced to world-class inventors, including longtime Disney imagineer and prolific patent holder Lanny Smoot. 

Camp details: 

  • Open to students currently in grades K-6
  • Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 18
  • 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day
  • Breakfast and lunch provided

Cost: $285 

  •    Sibling discounts and payment plans are available.
